ABOUT MAMA NATI

Drawing from the rich history of the Caribbean, known as the last stop of the Spice Trade and the starting point of Columbus’ food exchange movement, we pay homage to centuries of culinary fusion. Through trade, spices from around the world found their way to the Caribbean, creating a melting pot of flavors and cultures. At Mama Nati, we celebrate this diversity by infusing our sauces with the vibrant essence of Caribbean spices, bringing a new appreciation for these ancient treasures through taste.

Mama Nati plays a multifaceted role in our social lives, bringing people together to celebrate special events and occasions with its delectable condiments. Whether it’s a lively festival, a joyous wedding, or an intimate dinner party, Mama Nati’s flavorful creations add a touch of magic to every gathering.

Our story

As a child, I was captivated by the vibrant garden of my Grandma’s kitchen. Watching her transform simple ingredients from the earth into nourishing and incredible dishes sparked a lifelong fascination with the power of food. In honor of my grandmother, whose resourcefulness and culinary prowess inspired us all, we embarked on a mission to address the growing frustration with the lack of healthy sauce options. Mama Nati’s journey began with the fusion of second-generation immigrants from the Caribbean and Africa. Raised in Hammersmith, my roots trace back to my dad’s Caribbean heritage. In 2015, we sadly bid farewell to my beloved grandmother. Her resilience and generosity left an indelible mark on us all. Despite life’s challenges, she shared her culinary gifts with boundless love, bringing joy to everyone she met.

Our venture began humbly, selling our family’s traditional hot sauce at local community street fairs. It wasn’t long before our flavors caught the attention of Honest Burger. Enthralled by the unique taste of our sauce, they quickly embraced it, and by August, the iconic Hammersmith Burger was born. Our brand emerged from a desire to bridge the gap between generations, honoring tradition while embracing innovation. Through garden allotments and market stalls, we strive to connect with both the young and old, celebrating the rich tapestry of flavors that bring us all together.
